Hey Y’all!

I have been so out of commission lately. Life hit hard. It always does though! I used to think it was just seasonal, but now I’m convinced that it’s just life as I know it!!!!

So, my Greensboro friends from Grace Community Church, we have a winner. Dorothy Lanier, you are the winner from that event!!! Email me at Melissa@MelissaTaylor.org so I can get your contact info and send you your prize :) Everyone else who has commented on my blog, email me your information and I will send you My Top 10 Ways to Stay Connected With God.

Southside ladies….are you there???? I miss y’all terribly! Comment here and I’ll send you something too. Just be sure to send me your email address! Seriously, I’m coming to your retreat next year! Wendy Bruce, I haven’t forgotten about you! I’m praying for you every day. Let’s get in touch. Email me!!!!

Today has been awesome and filling, yet exhausting and depleting at the same time. I am the Prayer Coordinator for Proverbs 31 Ministries. We received over 500 requests today. This is a result of Glynnis Whitwer’s amazing devotion that ran today. I am thrilled that so many felt comfortable and safe enough to let Proverbs 31 join them in prayer. We have such a great prayer team. I mean they really care about each and every prayer request that comes through. But I am also saddened. The requests today revealed lonely, sad, lost, hopeless, and even a few suicidal people who need unconditional love and support. Breaks my heart because I want to jump through the computer and hug and love on those sending the requests. “God loves you!!!!!” I want to yell. “You are so special to Him!!!!!” I want to say.

If you have any words for those who are hurting and unable to see God’s hand in their life, please comment here. I will pass it on.

And you Grace or Southside ladies, let me hear from you too. Dorothy and Wendy…we need to touch base.

Love You All!

your story is one that many need to read.
I too was violated twice in my life once by my adopted father and than by my uncle at the age of 17. But praise be to the Father!!! I have been healed from the lies of the enemy, and today I can say that this test only caused me to find and draw closer to Christ. I was saved at the age of 13 and have remained so and I am so glad that my God has been a keeper!!! I hope to win the book for ministry uses. And in closing thanks for being transparent because that helps others come forth with the scerrt of violation that wants to remain hidden.
God bless you prophetess wanda harris

  8. Melissa,
Thank you for sharing your story. I too suffered years of abuse. I have only shared this with a few people, whom I am close to and know I can trust. It has been over 25 years since then, but I sometimes still struggle with the emotional issues that go with that. I feel that I have forgiven the person who hurt me, but the hurt itself still lingers at times. I know it’s just the enemy trying to bring up old hurts and bring me down.
You have encouraged me. I appreciate you being transparent and sharing so others may find healing. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I am not stained and ruined, I’m clean and worthy! The Lord is good. I know if I didn’t have the Lord on my side, I would never have made it through the years. I know He will continue to heal my hurts.
    Thank you again.
Blessings to you and your family,
    Lynn L.

  9. I was so blessed by the “Stained & Ruined” story. Would really like to recieve a copy of ” Top ten ways to stay connected” Would love to attend the conference, but distance & finances forbid. I’am blessed to have read all these blogs !!

    Love in Christ

  10. Your blog really met a need in my life right now. I just found out I got herpes from a “Christian” man who also rejected me because I’ve been physically & sexually abused in the past. I have felt very stained & ruined for the rest of my life & really feel like giving up on life &/or relationships. Please send me your “Top Ten Ways to Know You are Worthy” list. I desperately need that and your prayers right now.

  11. Thank you for the courage to share your story! I could really use your list. Thanks.
