Today

I’ve learned that the most important day of my life is today.

Yesterday is in the past.  I can’t change it, it’s done.  No need to fret about it.  I can just learn from it.

Tomorrow hasn’t happened and I can’t control what may come my way.  There’s no need to fret about it.  Jesus says not to worry, does no good.  So I won’t.

But today.  That’s a different story.  Today I have some control. Today I can still make a difference.  Today I have choices.  I can choose to make a difference.

Today yesterday doesn’t matter.  Today tomorrow doesn’t matter.  One is finished and one hasn’t begun.  Today I have hope.

With all that’s been shared and posted here in the past week, I know for a fact that we need hope.

When my husband and I were having big time marriage problems, I asked him, “Is there any hope for us?”  He replied, “an ounce.”  I rejoiced in that.  And immediately went to the Lord and asked Him to multiply it.  That day, I had hope.  And today, tw0 years later, I can tell you that the Lord did multiply it.  We are still together and rely on God everyday to meet our needs.

Today is an amazing day.  If you are here today, rejoice.  If you are here today, God has a reason and purpose for it.  Today is a great day.

And today, I want to announce the winner of the book I am giving away.  Carol Tan from Singapore is the winner of Wendy Blight’s book, “Hidden Joy in a Dark Corner”.  Congrats Carol!!!!  I pray the Lord will bless you as you read and study Wendy’s story.

I hope you all know how much I care about all of you.  The Top 10 List is coming….to all 2000 of you who have requested it!  And please again I want to let you know, I am reading each and every comment posted.  I wish so badly I could respond to all of you and hug you.  I pray you consider me a friend and will visit my blog often.

Today, be blessed!

Love,

Melissa

  4. Thanks Melissa. This for me is a powerful reminder. I have often said to my clients, the past is the past, you can’t undo it. Yet, I do not always remind myself. Thanks for this word..timely and relevant.Blessings.

  5. This is fabulous! Wish I had read it on Monday, it might have helped spare me a week of worry.

I’m reminded of song lyrics that say, “We have this moment to hold in our hands and to touch as it slips through our fingers like sand; Yesterday’s gone and tomorrow may never come, But we have this moment today.”

Praying I will embrace each moment and live in the now.
    Love ya,
    Joy
