Top Ten Ways To Know You Are Worthy

Top 10 Ways to Know You Are Worthy

By Melissa Taylor

10.  You are worthy of redemption.  God is your redeemer and will redeem time for you.  No matter what you’ve been through, He gives you a new day. Thank Him for today. You are here because He ordained this day in your life. That is His choice.

9.  You are worth fighting for. God, Your Creator, is on your team, on your side.  Deuteronomy 20:4, “For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” (NIV)

8.  You were worth creating. God doesn’t make mistakes.  He didn’t have to make you.  You didn’t appear on earth by accident.  God never said, “Oops! Didn’t mean to make that one!”  No way baby!!!  He loves you and believes in you!

7.  You are worthy of forgiveness. The Lord God forgives you!!!  No Matter What!!! How cool is that.  There are people that may never forgive you. Don’t fret about that. The One Who matters most, He forgives you.  (Psalm 86:5)

6.  You are the worthy recipient of God’s gifts. You have been given gifts of appreciation, and you are trusted to use them well.   1 Peter 4:10,“Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others.  So use your gift well.”  (CEV)

5.  You are worth keeping around. You are a survivor.  Are you reading this right now?  Then God ain’t finished with you yet!

4.  You are worthy of protection. God loves to prove His strength when the odds are the greatest and hope is the smallest. (Psalm 32:7)

3.  You are worthy of unconditional love.  (Ephesians 3:19, Psalm 130:7)

2.  You are worth dying for.  (John 3:16)

1.  You are worthy of royalty.  Your Father is the King of everything.

John 1:12-13, “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (NIV)

  4. Thank you so much for this. I read your blog regularly but have never posted before. I just wanted to let you know that, as someone who continually struggles with self-worth, reading this is like having a friend take my hand and say “Look – this is for you”. I am going to keep this page with me to remind myself to turn to Him, especially when I feel particularly unworthy of anything or anyone. Thank you for yor precious words.

  5. Thank you Melissa for sharing this. I really needed this encouraging reminder today!

  6. Some of this fits, but do you have a list of Top Ten Reasons to Live?

  7. T- I can give you the one and only reason to live and its a GREAT ONE:

Because God wants you here!!!!!! He made you. Let Him decide when it’s time to go. God is not finished with you yet. He made you stronger than you know. So trust Him with your whole life, ALIVE, here on Earth!

    Melissa

And everyone else too. You all bless me more than you know. Your comments help to validate me, so I thank you. (Now I know only God can validate, but you are His vessels!) I need this list just as much as anyone. Especially today.

  8. Melissa,
I want to thank you for this list of reasons. I have had the hardest time struggling to understand more than one of these through the years. Learning to build my self-esteem is something I do on a daily basis. Again thank you, I am going to print this out and hang it up on my wall. Maybe even in a special frame. Jennifer

  9. LOVE this blog post… especially #9 – You are worth fighting for… beautiful!
    Jenny

  10. Melissa ~ once again you touched the depths of my soul with your post. My friend and I had a discussion at lunchtime today about the whole worthy vs. unworthy issue. I have shared your words with my sweet friend. Your sharing gets me through some very dark times. I want you to know how much I appreciate you and the awesome work you are doing. As a result of some of the suggestions you have made and comments you have posted, I can feel my relationship with Christ growing and I have even begun to feel His presence in my life. What a praise that is! Thank you.

    Love and peace ~ Kathryn

  11. I’m sorry. That request wasn’t fair to you or to others who read your blog. It’s just that I could sincerely use that kind of a list. I want to follow the list of ways to connect with God and believe He’s there to help me, but right now all I feel is abandoned and tired. I don’t know how much of that strength is left. Thank you for these list and the hope they give.

  12. I am so glad I had this to return to today and it is what I needed to fill me this morning.
    Today is a new day!!
    Love you!!

  13. Just a girl says:

    Melissa-
I just wanted to take a second and say thank you. Thank you for these last two posts and for your entry on Rad Revolution.blogspot.com. As a girl in my upper teens I have struggled so much with my self worth, (for a long time) because of various people and situations. At times the fight has seemed rather hopeless. As soon as I would start to view myself as worth something another person or situation would tell me otherwise. I think the struggle with the hurt of feeling worthless has been just as difficult to overcome as the struggle with feeling worthless. You never expect the people you care for the most to give you the message that you don’t measure up. However, your recent posts have been such a blessing to me. Thank you for the hope, guidance and truth in the posts that I have read. It meant so much to me!

  14. Melissa,

This is an awesome post. I have been struggling with guilt and lack of self-worth a lot this week in my marriage and guidance of our young adult son of 19 years. Satan really knows our weaknesses and where to hit hard. But, God wants us to deny him (Satan) access into the throne of our heart. That is God’s place, to fill us with His unconditional love, His truths and principles for living a victorious life in Him. Your post was so encouraging for me to listen to God’s straight up message to me that I am a new creation in Christ; my past mistakes are just that: past and forgiven, and each moment I can hit restart and claim His truths over Satan’s lies. This is my permission and right as a child of the King to claim I am worthy of His matchless love and grace and to be on guard and stand against Satan’s constant attacks and lies for entry into my heart, God’s Throne.

I love your website and always look forward when it drops into my email box! I thank God for His blessing of gifting you and the many other Proverbs 31 ladies to bring truths into our lives and remind us that we have a Heavenly Father who cares for us, loves us, longs for us to draw near to Him, and be set free of any bondage in our lives.

    Sweet Blessings to you.

  15. WOW!!! That is all I have to say!!!!

Thank you so much Melissa, you are indeed a true child of God and and inspiration to me!!!!!
