Living God’s Word Is So Much Better Than…

…just knowing it.

If you are visiting here today from the Proverbs 31 Devotion by Rachel Olsen, welcome to my blog!  And for you regulars, you know I’m glad you are here today. I love my little community of friends here.  (and for my subscribers, I know you received this yesterday, thank you for hanging in there with me and my many mistakes! Today is the day I meant to post this!)

When I was a young girl in 3rd grade Sunday school class, our teacher would challenge us to memorize Bible verses.  There was always some kind of candy/yummo/chocolate prize and so of course I had to win.  If it was connected to food, then I was there. (seriously sad how food motivated I was!)  Since the deal was only the first person to memorize and recite it aloud could win, from the moment our teacher began calling out the verse, I would start flipping in my Bible to find it.  And y’all I kid you not, 9 out of 10 times I was the winner. I even memorized all the books of the Bible that year. And I ate a lot of oversized Hershey bars as a result. I learned some of God’s Word that year and it brought me knowledge and candy. Years later I learned how to live, I mean really live, God’s Word, and it brought me peace, joy, contentment, and freedom.  There’s a big difference between having knowledge of the scriptures and having them come alive in your life.

The next online study taking place right here is It’s No Secret: Revealing Divine Truths Every Woman Should Know, by Rachel Olsen. One of the main reasons I’m so excited about studying this book is because it truly does reveal biblical secrets waiting to come alive in our lives. This book moves beyond just sharing scripture with the readers, it shares how to make them come alive so that we can live them. And when we live out God’s Word in our lives, we experience a freedom like never before.  This study is fun yet practical and the perfect study to do with a few girlfriends. Which is what I plan to do right here on my blog and you are invited!

To sign up for this powerful 6 week study, just send an email to: ItsNoSecretSignUp@gmail.com. For all the information on this study, visit the Online Bible Study Info section of this blog. The study and atmosphere here is friendly, encouraging, and challenging as we strive together to learn more about becoming the women God created us to be. I would love for you to join me!

So, now that you’ve learned about this awesome new online study that can help bring God’s Word alive in your life, go check out my friend and author of It’s No Secret, Rachel Olsen’s blog today. She is talking about who you are in Christ! I’m headed there right now!

And come back here tomorrow because I feel like giving something away and you just might be the winner!  Plus for all you sweet healthy MTC Gals, we are right in the middle of our last week of study and I have a message for you!

Y’all have a great day!

  1. I’ve signed up for this online study. Now I just need to call and order my copy of the book. Thanks for making us aware of such wonderful books and studies. There are so many out there on the market today, and I really appreciate having “friends” who can help steer me to the really good ones :)

  2. I signed up for the new study as well and will live for each entry and verse to read because so far I don’t have the cash yet,and will order it when I have the cash next month.

  3. I too will be signing up for the study as I have recently learned to take a break from all the “techy” gadgets and spend ALL my spare time digging deeper into God’s words and there is no words to express the closeness and deeper and stronger relationship I am having with my Lord and Savior.

It will be a while before I can purchase the book but I will certainly be following along with the study on both your site and the FB study site as well.

Take my word for it friends….spend time in His presence and talk with Him and watch your life be filled with joy and happiness. You gain a peace that exceeds any peace you have ever felt before. I love my Lord or can you tell by now:) ?
