Come Join the Party!

Hi! I’m glad you stopped by my blog today.

Today I am giving away a FABULOUS, GOD FILLED, SCRIPTURE SATURATED book that just happens to be my next Online Bible Study! I can hardly contain myself I’m so excited!

Next week, March 27th, the next online study on my blog begins. I would love to have you join me. I’m so excited that I’m giving away an autographed copy of the book we are studying, It’s No Secret, Divine Secrets Every Woman Should Know by Rachel Olsen.

Just leave a comment here today and you will be entered to win.  I’ll announce the winner Wednesday morning, March 23rd.

If you read today’s Proverbs 31 Devotion, then you know that Little Granny lived her life to the fullest here on earth and was excited about where she was going from here.  Little Granny lived her 92 years on this earth with purpose. She loved God and loved His Word. His Word protected her, guided her, comforted her, strengthened her, encouraged her,  and provided for her every need. She depended on God and His Word in her daily life so that the “thief” would not and could not steal, kill, or destroy her living life to the fullest.  That’s what It’s No Secret is all about.

If you are interested in joining a party right here on my blog, sign up for my online Bible study.  Details can be found here.  If you are interested sign up quick and order the book because the study starts in just a week!  I would love to study with you!

Also, this week is the one year anniversary of my own mother’s death. Our entire family misses her laughter, loyalty, and love on this earth. This will be a hard week for us yet also a week of sweet reflection. We know where she is today and celebrate that. Next Sunday night we are having some sweet family time recalling a few great “MaMaw Memories” with the Pepperidge Farm Apple Turnovers (actually called puff pastries I think) with vanilla ice cream that she loved.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you have a wonderful day!  And don’t forget, if you are looking for a Bible study group and don’t have one, I’d love for you to join mine! The Online Bible Study begins March 27th.

Love and Blessings to you all.

***A super big shout out to all my new friends from the Women’s Wellness Weekend at Camp Harrison! I had a blast with y’all.  Bless your hearts and Beware of Pirates!  And oh yea, You are Beautiful <3

  1. When I read the Psalm 31 devotion today, my heart rejoiced. I lost my mom 11 years ago – She would have an annual “slumber party” with 10 -15 women. What wonderful parties they were! I know that we will party together again someday. Your devotion made my heart smile. How does that old hymn go… When we all get to heaven – What a day of rejoicing that will be (PARTY) – When we all see Jesus – We’ll sing and shout the victory!
Our loving God has been teaching me so much about His GRACE! and forgiveness. I am so excited about starting the It’s No Secret study next week.
Thank you Lord for who You are and what You are doing in my life.

  2. I too would love to win your book, but after reading Beckys comment at 12:07, I want her to win it. God bless you Becky, never give up. Jesus wins in the end and we do too. Just keep in His Word, and keep close to your Jesus friends, and you will be carried through the trials. Then when you come through and look back you will see Jesus was there all the time, and you grow stronger from the storm. You touched my heart. God bless every women here who truly want God’s best for them, so they can share Him with others. In Christ alone, who we want to glorify together!

  3. I am so encouraged reading your post on P31 and finding your blog. My father a true man of God passed away several years ago and I still miss him. My peace comes from knowing heis “at the party”. My hope and prayer is that we will all join him there.

  4. Claire Manicone says:

Recently, I’ve seen that I am bored with life and feel that I am waiting for the party to get started. I will join u for the study u are starting!

  5. This study sounds just like what I need. I feel like I’m on a constant treadmill at work and seem to have lost any satisfaction in it. I need to saturate myself in God’s word to ward off Satan’s fiery darts!

  6. This book sounds really good! I’m looking for a book that has “meat” to it.

  7. Excited to join the online Bible study! I have never done one online so I look forward to doing something new!!

  8. Thank you for your beautiful words on living life to the fullest while anticipating the party ahead. I could relate to your grief of missing your mom. May God bless you as you seek Him.

  9. This book sounds great, thanks for holding a drawing! I’ll be praying for your family this week as you honor the memory of your mother. I met you this past weekend at the Womens Wellness Retreat and look forward to following your blog for continuous uplifting messages for women! Thanks!

  10. Janet Volpe says:

Can’t wait for the study to start. It is just what I need right now.
It has been a little more than 9 years since I lost my mother. The pain never totally leaves but the sweet memories become ever more precious and healing. May the lord be with you in this journey.

  11. Thank you so much for your devotional today. I lost my own mum almost 8 weeks ago and have been finding it so difficult to live life at all, never mind living it to the full. Your devotional was exactly what i needed to hear. My mum lived everyday of her life to the full and she would want me to do the same. She died 4 weeks after my wedding and I spent those weeks caring for her so my marriage is something that I know I have definitely put on hold. It just didn’t seem right to think about my new life when she had just lost hers but I think she is having her own party now she has been reunited with her husband in heaven.

  12. Colleen Bergen says:

I am very excited to have come across this blog and the opportunity for an online bible study. I find it difficult to build time into my schedule to read my bible and I even find it hard to get to church anymore since my husband is not interested in attending with me. A bible study that I can do at home is probably just the commitment I need to make to get my life back on track. The book would be a great asset to me!

  13. Melissa, I can’t believe it’s already been a year since your mom passed. My heart goes out to you. How blessed you are to have such sweet memories.

Yes please enter me in the drawing for the book. Thank you. I so want to read the book and additionally would love to do the online study, however I’m scheduled to have my 2nd child on March 30th. So I’ll be in the hospital for a few days and then recovery time so I’m afraid I won’t have the time needed to devote to the study. : ( But Rachel’s book has been on my To Read list for some time now.

  14. I am excited about doing another bible study with you. Whenever I am feeling down I know I can just come to your blog and read any of them and it instantly lifts my spirits. Thanks for being there : )

  15. I would like to read “Divine Secrets Every Women Should Know” ; Proverbs 31 Daily Devotions are a very welcome part of my day because they give me guidance, comfort and encouragement. My Mom is scheduled for a hip replacement surgery in a few days and her pre-op chest x-ray was suspicious for a cancerous tumor. After some prayerful requests, the final cat scan of her chest was negative for cancer. Wow, what a relief. I am encouraged to live every day with hope, peace and love….not fear, anger and sadness. There are so many reasons to be grateful and appreciative. Thank-you, thank-you dearest Heavenly Father.

  16. I’m looking forward to the new study. I almost forgot to sign up but I’m all in now. I enjoy doing these studies online because I work so much and don’t have time to go to the Bible studies offered through my church. I can’t believe it has been a year since your mother’s passing. It has been 21 years since my mom passed and it took me 7 years to grieve for her. I only allowed myself to grieve twice a year but I’ll be honest there are times when I long to hear her voice today. I’ll be praying for you and your family this week.

  17. Sounds like a great study

  18. Sounds like just the kind of book I need to read! Can’t wait to get started.

  19. I recently lost my sister, who was very dear to me. I miss being able to call her, especially when the walls come crashing down. She was not only a sister, but a friend and because of our age difference and due to the loss of my mom and dad, she was a mother to me. There are days when I still grieve her loss, but I know she is no longer suffering and that makes my heart rejoice. I love you Doris and I miss you.

  20. James (Jimmy) McNelis says:

I just want to say thank you. I was surfiing blogs and came across one from you from 2009 on blogger.com . I read some and noticed I had a smile on my face and the sadness I have been feeling for years was not controling my thoughts and emotions. I knew they wasn’t gone but they wasn’t in control. God was! You have not wrote on that blog in years . I know God guided me to it. I just want to thank you and thank god . God Bless
