Interact With the Group!

Well, our It’s No Secret study is underway and my heart is so happy that you are liking the book so much! I knew God would speak through It’s No Secret and if you have gained insight through Chapter 1, well you just wait, the best is yet to come!

I really want to hear from ALL OF YOU!  Your perspective matters.  So, as you go through the reading and answering the questions, please know that your opinion, thoughts, and words matter.  We can read and do the homework and that’s fine.  But when you share, it gets even better.  If you are doing the INS study, this is your Bible Study group and we want to hear from you.

We had a great Conference Call last night. The calls are optional, but those who participated will tell you, they are well worth the time and money.  There is only so much we can do online.  These calls are an opportunity for you to hear first hand from some amazing women how they live and incorporate God’s Word in their lives.  Last night’s call revealed how we can find real and lasting treasure.  We also heard from Samantha Reed and Carol Davis and got some practical tips on living and sharing God’s Word, parenting, how to conquer fear, why being a part of a community of believers is so important, and how when we show up, God shows off.  If you haven’t signed up for these calls, it’s still not too late. Last night’s call was recorded. If you decide to sign up, I will send you the recording information to access the call via phone or computer.  Plus you can be live on the next 3 calls.  Just call the Proverbs 31 Office 877-731-4663 to sign up.  I promise you will be glad you did!  I’ll refund your money if you don’t.

Whether you were on the call or not, I hope you’ll visit the blogs of our special guests.

Check out Samantha’s blog post today- visuals of Scripture in her home…

Check out Carol’s blog. She is so authentic and real and this girl is the real deal!

Thank you so much Sam and Carol for being so open and honest about your lives.  You totally blessed us with your willingness to share your struggles, your thoughts, and how God’s Word  and His presence has made a difference in you.  We learned so much from you!

One other way you can interact with those involved in this study, is to go to the author of It’s No Secret’s blog today.  Visit Rachel Olsen’s blog today where she is discussing the 1st Chapter of It’s No Secret.  How cool that we have access to the author of this great book and she wants to interact and join us in the study of her message.  Go to her blog:   and join the discussion.

The beauty of an online study is that it is as involved and interactive as you choose to be.  I want to hear from you and I hope you will share your thoughts, learning, and heart with me and the 900 others involved in this study!

Love and Hugs to all my peeps :)  So glad we are in this together <3

*****(sorry I had to write out all the websites in this post. My link features were not working.)

  1. Hi Melissa

Anyhow when i saw you mentioning the next study about an book of Rachel i became interested b/c i know her from her blog also and enjoyed some years ago the study ‘Woman in the bible…”So here i am today……joining you all with reading ‘INS”
You know the idea in the book of “the DECODER RING” stucked with me……I can so relate with the stories of Rachel in her spiritual journey 1st to think will-power is the answer…….But the answer lays in JESUS CHRIST and now for me being visual to see an decoder ring given to me also……I crave Him to “decode” more to me on this journey…….
An little intro of me to you all I’m living in the Netherlands born in Surinam.
I’m married and an mum of an daughter of 12yo and an sun of 10….I’m working with the elderly as an nurse and i am also beauticien and owning together with my “hubby” an beauty business..

I’m so glad God showed me this website. I read the encouragement for women every day and I was thrilled when I read about an online bible study. I’m dealing with a lot in my life right now and I just wanted you to know, Melissa, that you inspire me. You are always so positive and full of hope that it bubbles over to everyone who is around you or reads what you write. So, thank you. I’m greatly enjoying the book so far and cannot wait to discover these hidden treasures!!

  3. Melissa, I’m so excited about the Study we have started. I signed up for the conference calls, but I was not able to participate last night!!! :( Is the call available anywhere where I can listen? Thanks!

  4. Bernice I know what you mean about the decoder ring. I could see myself wearing it and when trouble hit twist it and get an image of Jesus appearing as a shield to stand before me. The first question really made me stop and think as well. If Jesus is willing to Go before us beside us and behind us, I can take a harder look at the “excuses” of not being ready.

Hope ya all have a good day. I’m doing this study from Kansas BTW,

  5. Melissa,

I’m going to order this book as soon as I get home!

    Thanks for being you!

    Tammy Nischan :)

  6. Melissa,
I am already really into this bible study. All it took is one chapter! I have really been able to relate to Rachel’s personal stories. I also lost my mom from cancer. I was 21-22 at the time. When my mom died, our family also fought over what was left behind and we are no longer in communication. Then God brought me into a loving, Godly family once I married my husband. They are wonderful! Psalm 68:4-6 really is true for me as well.
4 Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
    extol him who rides on the clouds[b];
rejoice before him—his name is the LORD.
5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling.
6 God sets the lonely in families,[c]
    he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

  7. I loved Chapter 1 also. In the Bible Study section, I found it interesting that the same things that preoccupied the people in Jesus’ story are some of the same things that preoccupy me. (busyness, inconvenient timing)

Isn’t it mind blowing that we all are invited to this party…not a one of us is left out. We are accepted and valued in God’s Kingdom.

I’m so glad y’all are liking the study. I popped over to Rachel’s blog as well. Great interaction and perspective on showing up over there too.

Thank you all for doing this Bible Study with me. I love doing life together with you.

Erin, your words really touched me. I’m praying for you.

  8. I was not able to make the call last night and am SO thankful that it ‘s recorded so I can spend some quiet time soaking up every word. Girls, I need this study and am off to get this week going:)

  9. Although I have had problems getting a book, I have really wanted to do this bible study on-line. I also believe there are testimonys to write. Please pray for me as I upgrade the operating system on my mac book computer and get files reorganized for the projects that need to transfer. I am also believing for an internship for higher career goals. Thanks for keeping me covered.
    Thanks so much
