INS~Week 5

Hope everyone had a fabulous Easter celebrating that our Lord is Risen! We are forgiven and set free, and through Him we all have a brand new life ahead of us if we choose Him!  It’s available, so let’s live it. No more hinderances, no more guilt and condemnation, no more lies that we believe. We are chosen by Him, righteous and holy…and by His wounds we are healed. We aren’t perfect and never will be, but we are free and forgiven. Don’t forget that ever my sisters….and don’t let me forget it either!

So far in our study, we have experienced….

SHOWING UP

FORGIVENESS

LIGHT

being CONNECTED

and now, through Jesus we are….

RADIANT!

Don’t you feel it?  Radiant I mean?  Well, I’ll be honest,I don’t exactly feel it.  And as I look ahead at the titles of the next two chapters, I have a feeling they were written just for me (haha, have you felt that way yet?).  Chapter 9 is about “rest”…which I admit has been my weakness.  Chapter 10 is about “clear skin” (well, it’s in the title at least, it’s really about the beauty of “confessing sins”) still, my skin is anything but clear these days, my psoriasis is a bit worsened lately and confessing sins is never easy.  Is it possible that we could feel radiant even though life on earth is often anything but?  This week, we shall find that out and I’m depending on you more than ever to help discern how.

As I write this week’s schedule, I have been in bed for 2 days straight sick. So please forgive that it’s a little short and sweet!

****Please keep chatting and commenting on the blog. I LOVED how you all began responding to each other last week and hope you like that new feature on the comment section so we can do that more easily! Thank you for opening up and being honest and vulnerable with each other. That is how we grow.

This week’s call will consist of a special message just for you, an interview with Rachel, and then Q and A.

It is my prayer, that by now, after 5 weeks of study, you have found that by Showing Up, you have experienced Forgiveness, you see the Light, you feel Connected, and you see yourself looking Radiant! And just you wait, we still have one week left……

Lysa Terkeurst has a “rest” tie-in on her April 19 vlog in Part 1 WEIRD interview. Check it out.

  6. Melissa — I hope you’re beginning to feel better. People are praying! It’s difficult for a busy mom to take time to “be sick.” I trust you’re family serves you instead of you serving them!
I really am enjoying this study. I think I will be doing it again on my own and taking a bit more time to think and pray about each topic. The chapter on “resting” is especially good. Why is it that we feel guilty sitting in a chair for an afternoon — even an hour — and relaxing? Sometimes it’s impossible — even when sitting still — to keep our minds from racing. I will definitely give more thought now to how I spend my “Sabbath rest.” I think I need to be more focused on the people around me and spend valuable time with them. I especially feel the need to do everything “slower” on that day. Monday thru Saturday we race, race, race to get to the next place. At least on my Sabbath, I need to do whatever I’m doing more slowly — even if it’s walking down the hallway in my house!! God is telling me — “SLOW DOWN! Enjoy where you’re at on the way to where you’re going!!” :) KK

  7. I’ve been sick too with migraines and gallbladder attacks over the weekend through yesterday. I hope you are feeling better Melissa.
