A Confident Heart~Week 5

Hey y’all! This is Heather Bleier and I am taking over Melissa’s blog this week {with a little help from Stephanie}::teeeheehee::. Before we jump into this week’s assignments, I want to start off with a question …

We are almost halfway through Renee’s book, how has it impacted your life so far?

If you have a few moments, share your answer with us here or better yet, let Renee know by visiting the A Confident Heart Facebook Page; I’m sure she’d love to hear how God is moving in your life through her book!

Word of the Week: Believe it or not, I had the hardest time choosing this word! There were three very strong contenders, but in the end the winner was…

LIGHT

Without the LIGHT we can’t turn our hearts to God’s Truth {Can you guess my other two choices?}. This week we will focus on the LIGHT God shines into our lives to cast out the darkness and bring out our confidence that we find in Him.

Memory Verse:

When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” ~John 8:12 NIV

Need help memorizing? Here are a dozen tips to help get you started and if you visit the Facebook Page during the week, we will have fill in the blank exercises posted in the mornings to help keep you on track.

Prayer Requests:
If you have a prayer request, please get them to Christi Wilson by Thursday.

Suggested Assignments for the week:

Sunday: Enjoy your worship and time with your family and friends.

Monday: Read Chapter 5 Living beyond the Shadow of My Doubts. It’s so good; you may want to read it twice! Highlight anything in your book that speaks to your heart and write notes in the margins {It’s ok, I promise Renee won’t mind.}.

Have questions for Friday’s vlog? Send them to Melissa at: MelissaTaylorQuestions@gmail.com

Monday Night: Conference Call number two! If you signed up, you will get an email with the phone number and pass code, it’s the same information as the last call; please don’t share this information. The call will be at 8:00pm EST, and our topic is Hope For The Future with Ann Noonan and Leah DiPascal as our quests.

Haven’t signed up for the calls yet? There’s still time! Call the Proverbs 31 office at 877.731.4663 or purchase the $15 calls by visiting Shop P31.

Let’s Talk About Hope

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Hope.

It’s my very favorite word because of all the promise it holds. You can’t see it. Sometimes you can’t feel it. And often you don’t even see a reason for having it. Yet it’s there. God gives us hope through Jesus Christ. It may be all we have….but oh how wonderful to have it.

Hope is the very thing that keeps me going. All things can be falling apart, but because I have hope, I have reason to keep moving. I <3 hope.  It’s our word of the week.

I want to hear what you have to say about hope.  In the comment section answer these three questions, if you can. (If not, that’s ok, we are all friends here, just answer what you can and keep your answers to a few sentences.)

1.  Do you have hope?

2.  Where do you get your hope?

3.  Do you believe Jeremiah 29:11 is for you?  Do you have any other favorite verses containing the word hope? If so, please share.

I can’t wait to read your responses on hope!

*****I’m giving away 2 CD sets by Sheri Rose Shepherd today. Two random winners will be drawn from the comments and announced on Thursday.
Sheri Rose is our special guest on our very first conference call today at 1 pm EST.  It’s still not too late to sign up! Just call the office by noon EST and speak to Melissa. I’ll give you the call in number for the 1:00 call. The cost is $15 for all 4 calls.

Have a blessed day <3
