I love this Bible study group. Seriously I do. I was so amazed, blessed, and brought to tears by the generosity, joy, and excitement that was so evident here in the past few days. It all started with one person donating 5 conference calls because she herself had benefited so much in the past from the call. Then another donated 5. Then another donated 5. Then another! So today I will announce 20 winners! I’ve never had such a big give away! It’s awesome.

Winners email me at MelissaTaylorQuestions@gmail.com with I Am A Winner in the subject line. We will get you the conference call info pronto!
I wish everyone could win. And if you didn’t win, you can still sign up here. The cost is $14 and will not be this low again. The calls are worth it. If you don’t agree when the study is over, just call the Proverbs 31 office and we will refund your money. In fact we will double your money back. We’ve never had anyone do this. The calls are really good.
Now on to Week 4~
Get ready and prepare for a focused week. We are going to have to stay on task and remain determined this week. It’s our 2nd of 3 weeks when we will be reading 3 chapters and what great chapters they are.
The section we will be reading this week is appropriately titled, Jump-Start for the Seriously Overwhelmed. Wow, does that ever call my name! First let’s begin with this week’s memory verse:
Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. ~Psalm 25:4-5 NIV 1984
or in other words~
Lord, help us to simplify our schedules and declutter our lives by allowing You to show us what we need to do next. Amen!
Begin practicing now. Write it down and post it in various places. Break it down in small bits and think about what each part means.
Week 4 Assignments:
Monday~ Read Chapter 8, Simplify Your Schedule First. Check in at our gathering place (my blog) to share you thoughts.
Monday~ Our first conference call! 8 pm EST. It will be recorded, so if you miss it, no worries, you can listen later. The call in information will be emailed to all who signed up.
Tuesday~Check in to our gathering place, Melissa’s blog, for today’s assignments. There will be a few discussion questions posted for Chapter 8.
Wednesday~ Read Chapter 9, Remove the Clutter. Check in at our gathering place (you know the spot by now I hope!) to share your thoughts.
Thursday~ I have a few questions for you on my blog today about Chapter 9. Join in. There might even be a prize today. Just sayin.’
Friday~ Two things to do today. First, read Chapter 10, Where to Start. Then head over to Glynnis’ blog. She has some weekend “home” work for us to work on.
Lot’s in store for Week 4! Here we go!

I’m sitting in church right now. Normally not a place I would be posting a blog comment. But today I am, courtesy of the intro given for the final worship song. The song was “Be Thou My Vision” and was intro’d with the reading of this week’s v
memory verses plus a couple. With all the pieces of life right now, I guess God really wants me to keep my eyes on Him so He can show me the steps to take. It only in my quest for organization, but for all the other areas as well. Please pray that I will keep my eyes, ears and heart open to what He wants me to do at each decision point, as well as all the steps along the way.
Yay! I won the conference calls! Thank you to all the people who donated them and to Melissa and staff who help organize all of this. I am so excited and cannot wait to experience all of this! God Bless all of you and have a wonderful week! <3
So excited for all the winners!!
I’m so ready for another week of this awesome study.
Wow! 20 donated calls! Congratulations to those who won and to those who heard the call to offer such an amazing gift! Exciting!!!!!
I loved the chapters of last week. I realized that I am a severe sufferer of LACK OF FOLLOWTHROUGH which is moderately affected by situational disorganization. I look around my house and see evidence of this behavior everywhere and sheesh! there is a cure. It’s me, taking a little more time to do it right. This is really weird for me to see at home because I am not like this AT ALL at work or at school. Luckily, school is done for now, but I get so burnt out at work that I come home and do just enough to get me to the next work day. God is totally reconstructing me at the work place to not carry more than my share (this includes an issue of worrying) so that I have what I need (energy, focus, etc.) at home to get things done there as well. I did not realize how out of balance the 2 were. Actually, honestly, this affects my efforts to eat better and exercise as well. Loving how He lifts us out of the situation to see it more clearly!
I am super excited about the next section -Jump-Start for the Seriously Overwhelmed and the timing for it because I am off work for the next week and can seriously spend time reading, reflecting and changing my actions. Also looking forward to that call!!! And I just LOVE this weeks memory verse. It’s the first time I’ve been this excited for a Monday in a very long time …. LOL!
I can’t be on the actual call. I’m traveling to watch my niece play All-Star softball. I’m guessing I’ll get the information for a transcript the next day. I know that is how it has worked in the past.
You’re all going to love the calls! I can’t wait for tomorrow night. I will be sitting in the quietest place in my house to listen to the call, my closet. That’s my little quiet place to go & sit with God. I have myself a stool in there, my book, the works – anything I could need to work on the study or just write in a journal. I love that little space becasue there are no distarctions & with kids we all know how many distractions there can be.
I have been thinking a lot about getting organized and could not for the life of me figure it out, but the book came along and boy has it helped. From chapters 8 and 9 I got a lot out of it. For one I set up two binders–one for home and one for the ride to work with me so I can work on it while I am waiting in traffic to go in and clean. I have discovered one thing–I do not have projects except for the cleaning I do and that is my projects. The rest is tasks or to do. This has totally helped me to get my self where I want to be. I still have some decluttering to do in the basement and the utility room, but I am almost there. It feels so good to not have the clutter all over so I can take in what God wants from me. When the fall exchange comes in the fall I will most and likely have a few more things to give, but not as much as I had at the spring clothing exchange.
