I’m enjoying a great week at the beach with my family and it is so beautiful here. We come here every year with my husband’s family. The house where we are staying has a massive back porch facing the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Early morning walks have presented rewarding sunrises and late day chats enjoyed in rockers have hosted beautiful sunsets. It’s a week I cherish every year.
Thank you Stephanie for leading us this week! Y’all, let’s go head over to her blog right now to see what she has in store for us today.
And before I forget, Happy Birthday to my favorite 15 year old in the whole wide world, my son, Dylan.
Have a wonderful Monday!

Enjoy your vacation Melissa. My favorite word is SAVOR. Savor the moments, savor the memories, savor the time with your family and your Lord. One of my favorite sayings is “Live every moment like it is your last”. All of this has changed how I jump into doing things with my adult children, my mom in the nursing home and my mother in law next door. I savor it all – even being with mom listening to how much pain she is because it could be our last time together so I massage her, rub her arms, rub her hands with lavishing lotion. This moment will never be again. And lastly another saying I posted on my fridge with living every moment like it is your last is Charles Swindoll’s “Today is unique? It has never occurred before, and it will never be repeated. At midnight it will end, quietly, suddenly, totally, FOREVER. But the hours between now and then are opportunities with eternal possibilities”. Goes with our study doesn’t it? SAVOR, SAVOR, SAVOR! and ENJOY! ENJOY! ENJOY!
Love this! Thank you, Debbie, those are great focus points to secure in the heart!! <3
Thank you so much for this post Debbie! What a great reminder for all of us. God bless!
Glad you are getting a chance to refresh and regroup. I get that time in August at my Mom’s home on a lake. Love those days in a chair reading and doing nothing else!
Enjoy!
Melissa,
What a lovely picture you painted…. I can close my eyes and imagine being on the porch… watching the waves, the horizon… feeling the peace of our Heavenly Fathers creation. (I love going to the ocean)
This morning I will find that peace for myself out on my backporch as I gaze across my yard which is becoming our little hideaway from the world. It’s those little moments…
I pray for amazing restoration for you and your family while you are away, and that time holds steady and doesn’t rush past while you are there!
Sounds like you are having a great time Melissa. Enjoy every moment. There is nothing like being with family at the beach. So peaceful and relaxing. Hope Dylan has a great birthday! Love you!

Have a great vacation! It sounds like such an amazing place to be!
Sounds like fun
We’ll be taking our vacation at Christmas.
Happy Birthday Dylan!
Enjoy Melissa. You have made me homesick. My backyard growing up was beautiful Lake Erie in NY and we used to vacation every year in South Carolina at Isle of Palms and I can still smell the ocean and hear the waves pounding against the shore. Sunsets were beautiful and it was such a time to spend with family and unwind. Happy 15th Birthday Dylan.
