  4. Good Grief! I did it wrong AGAIN. I don’t understand what I am doing wrong; I believe I am following the instructions properly….but obviously not. :0)

    • Catherine OBS Group Leader says:

      Judi,

      Found yours in blog 7. Couldn’t find a spot for comments though.

      I absolute love your blog. Just touched my heart. And the writing is very clear.

      Blessings,
      Catherine

    • I tried to post on your blog, but I couldn’t get the word verification thingy right. So, I’m posting here, I hope you receive this. (Also, anyone reading this that is not Judi, should go check out her blog. She is an amazing writer).

      Judi – Thank you for your sweet, honest words! I too am finishing up the Unglued Bible study. As I read your entry it felt as though you had peered into my heart taken everything I have been feeling & experiencing and put words to it – beautiful, sweet, honest (sometimes painfully so) words. Thank you for your writing! May God multiply your blessings as you continue on this journey of imperfect progress! Your Sister in Christ, Tracy I.

      • For those who are having trouble with the word verification on Blogger, be sure that you are getting the characters from the picture, put a space, then type the other characters. They are sometimes hard to read, so you can choose a different one if you are having trouble!

  5. Thank you, thank you and thank you again for all your prayers for the safety of all of people in the path of “Sandy”! We came through it just fine. It was crazy out there and a lot of people were not spared, but I feel so blessed to have the support of my “sisters in prayer”!

    My blog was done in anticipation of having no power, but praise God we only lost it for a short time! I hope you enjoy it, and again thank you for your prayers!

  6. Thank you again for this opportunity. Seriously, this has been a huge part of my progress through this study. I wish we were continuing through the in between time before Greater. :)

  7. Words cannot express how thankful I am for this study. On the eve of the “end,” I feel God beginning some things. His presence is heavy today as He continues to gently uncover and expose and remove….and pour understanding. And shower grace. And love. And nudge me forward, clothed in forgiveness and empowered with truth. I am so humbled at His great, amazing, unending, undeserved grace and love. And I am so thankful He has placed me here with all of you. My heart is full.

    • As my therapist said today, I am one of them people that God must beat upside the head to get my attention, and I am in the process of being bludgeoned to death right now.

      But God is so good and growing me in so much.

  8. Kristen Barkdull says:

    I really want to write a blog post but I am struggling with what to write. I am not the best at writing but I really want to start a blog.

  9. To Lysa & Melissa & all the bloggers that have participated throughout this study (and to the staff at Proverbs 31 for making this possible):
    I just want you to know that you all have been a tremendous blessing to my life these last 6 weeks. I haven’t made many comments, but I’ve absorbed quite a bit. You all have the wonderful gift of your voice and you are using it to let God speak his truth through you to those around you. THANK YOU!!! I pray that God blesses your lives in a way that far exceeds the blessings I have received from your writings! I can’t wait to meet each of you someday! Blessing & Peace to you.

  10. I’m having trouble leaving my blog post for the blog hop. It’s just posting my name and not the blog post. I will post it here too.

  11. Oh my my!
    I made a few errors in my blog, my goodness I was so distracted yesterday, seems that the past three Wednesday’s, when I have gone to write the blog, there were so many forces rising up against me; I almost didn’t write at all yesterday;
    I am trying to get into a rhythm of writing at least three times a week and grow into a daily blog; ONe step at at time!
    (so I revised my blog from yesterday, sorry if sounded goofy to those who read it so far!, oooops!)

    • Donna,

      There is a great feature where you can write your blog posts in advance and just schedule them and publish later. Sometimes I write 2 or 3 in one day and just schedule them for later in the week.

    • I feel your pain! I have had sick kiddos all week and I almost did not publish this week, but God spoke to me today. Thank you for sharing with us!

      • Hey girls, thanks for your kind words! THIS is why we get together! To encourage and learn from each other!

        Deanna, my goal was to write a few at a time and scedule for later – but seems like hours and time gets away from me; I have TONS of distractions where I am living, and most days, its been very hard to think straight; (keep in prayer God opens up finances so I can move into my own home – don’t want to rent, am expecting a HOME!); But I do keep notes to the side for ideas – and I have two ready to write, and finished one a bit ago;
        Blogger changed their site up, you used to be able to draft but they got rid of that; altho, you can write, and just not post it, so I suppose that is the same idea;

        anyway, you girls have an awesome weekend!

        • On the right hand side there is a schedule option, click that and then pick your date and time. Then just hit publish and it will automatically post it whenever you told it to and you can forget about it.

    • Barbara Prince says:

      At least you know how to post yours. I still can’t. I did however manage to get to the invitation to Greater on my blog page. I don’t even know how I did it. How that for ignorant of technology!

  12. Barbara Prince says:

    I have a terrible time with the blog process. Ladies, I do read your blogs. I just most of the time can not seem to comment on them. Half the time I can’t get my blog on. I just don’t have it all figured out yet. But, I do want you to know that I truly appreciate your blogs. God bless each of you.

  13. I am rather sad that this study has pretty much come to an end. I wish the rest of you the best of luck in greater, as I will not be getting in that study. Continue to make imperfect progress, every day. I have enjoyed growing with each of you.

  14. I just wanted to take a moment, a moment that God has placed in my life at this moment to say, BLESS YOU ALL! Thank you for making this blog post possible, all the video’s possible, the OBS for Unglued, all the hours it takes to do all this is having a great impact on so many people. I just had to take this time and say a heartfelt thank you to everyone!

  15. Thanks for all of your lovely comments! I love you and I’m sad too that the study is coming to an end. But Greater will be super also, so if you haven’t signed up, get signed up :)

    To all who wrote a letter to Lysa as your blog topic, I copied them and sent them to her. Your words are a blessing!

  16. Ladies, there is a facebook group for christian bloggers if you would like to join and post links to your blogs there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/13679025366/

  17. I am very thankful to have been a participant in this study. Thanks to Lysa for such an honest book. Thanks Melissa & all the OBS group for all your work and encouragement every week. Thanks to my “unglued” sisters…I will continue to pray for all of us as we move forward in our imperfect progress! I feel I have learned some wonderful life application tools that will help me manage my raw emotions better. Thanks to our awesome God for Hs unfailing love! Blessings & cyber (((hugs)))!!!

  18. This has been an amazing bible study! I am so looking forward to the next one. Kudos to the one for coming up with the idea of an online bible study. I absolutely love the convenience and the options of partcipation. Much gratitude to all who made it possible!!!

    Hugs and blessings.

  19. i guess we are not having any type of wrap up post? just one last time would be great. but…. i understand.
    i would love to read the Greater book- i actually bought the book but dont think i am going to be able to join in :( my pastor ( guess i need to do what he wants because he is also my boss!) wants me to read another book.
    I am hoping that the posts and assignments will be left up-right? so when i get the chance i will be able to look and read them!

  20. I try to answer before reading any blogs, so that I’m not intimidated! I would like to say “Dear Lysa TerKeurst, Thank you for writing this book. I have changed in positive ways because of reading it, and participating in this OBS.” If reading one book can have an obvious positive effect on my life, you can bet I’m going to read more! I am signed up for the ‘Greater’ study, and am going to look up more books by Lysa tomorrow.
    I would also like to share with the OBS friends that have progressed through this study with me – I am the girl who didn’t own a Bible when this study started. Well, November 3rd was the anniversary of my Dad’s death, and I took out my “Dad Bag” the place I store all the little momentos of him. I started looking over things, smiling, mostly crying, and I found my Father’s Bible. I can honestly say, I did not remember it was in there. So, now I have my own Bible, and much more importantly, my Dad’s. I’m so grateful and comforted by this.
    It’s sad to think this study is ending. You have all become part of my day. I will miss you. Thanks, Shelly

  21. Teresa Timmins says:

    I too have been truly blessed by this study and have since God work in my life because of it. Thanks to Lysa for writing the book and thanks to Melissa for leading us through it. Looking forward to the next study – Greater!

  22. I thought there was going to be some kind of closure to this bible study. I am very disappointed. I have however enjoyed and learned a lot from this bible study.

  23. I finished the book!! Wow is all I can say. First thank you God Almighty for giving me the strength n encouragement. Thank u all for sharing.
    I have learned a lot of things n thank God I’m not alone in all this. I felt like so done out there knew exactly what I’m going thru..
    Yes I accept the invitation to imperfect progress.
    God bless u all and may he continue to help us all
