Let.It.Go. Blog Hop Week Five

Only one more Blog Hop left for our Let.It.Go. study! It’s been wonderful reading what y’all have experienced from Karen Ehman’s book and we can’t wait to see what you have for us this week.

We LOVE hearing from first time bloggers, here’s what you need to know about sharing on our Hop {or any hop for that matter}. Click HERE the video tutorial or refer to our Blog Hopping for Beginners post.

This week’s Let.It.Go. topics:

1. Sound of Silence. Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation.  ~ Psalm 62:1 Many people describe their daily time with God as “Quiet Time.” How would you describe the time you spend with Him? Is it in the morning? Afternoon? Something new or something you’ve done for years?

2. Soul Control. Chapter 9. This was one packed chapter {aren’t they all}. Which of the five controlling methods listed in this chapter did you identify with and how will you get some Soul Control in the future? Will you memorize a verse? Spend time with God? Have a friend keep you accountable….?

3. What-EVER. Chapter 10. How did God speak to you through this particular chapter? Did it help you understand something that happened in the past or maybe help equip you for the future?

Topics for our LAST Let.It.Go. Blog Hop…

1. Lean on Him. I will say of the LORD, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! Psalm 91:2 AMP. How does this verse speak into your life right now?

2. Stunning or Lopsided. He is the Potter, we are the clay. Of all the chapters and areas of control in your life, which is the one you believe God is calling you to relinquish? Is there an area you feel you have already grown in? We would love to hear how your life is already making changes, bog or small!

3. With That Read. Now that you have finished Let.It.Go., what is the most unexpected thing you’ve learned? What would you share with the next person who picks up Karen’s book?

  1. Nicole DeWeese says:

Love the video that Charolette Ragsdale posted! So beautiful and your message was touching as well! Thank you for sharing.

    • Thanks so much for the nice comment about my post and the video, Nicole! I always try my best to look for a video message to go along with all my blog posts each week. So glad to hear you enjoyed it! I am glad we are able to have a blog hop each week because I learn so much from all the other sisters in Christ who blog each week. God Bless You! Have a blessed day! :)

  2. Keisha B. says:

I am sad to see the Bible study come to an end! I have learned so much about myself and the woman that I want to be for God, my family and friends and for me! It hasn’t been as painful as I would have thought to admit to my shortcomings in a public forum such as this one. It is so comforting to know that I am not crazy or alone in this world for feeling the way I feel sometimes. I believe the biggest lesson I am taking away is to stop, in midsentence if need be, and realign my thoughts with Gods words. I still have a long way to go but with Gods hand on my shoulder guiding me, I know I will get there! Best of luck to all of you! Thank you Melissa for your amazing leadership and encouragement and most of all, thank you Karen for writing the book!

  3. TABITHA JONES says:

I have really enjoyed reading everyones blogs today. They really were good. I hope by the next study that I figure out how to do the blog hop session. I am not really smart when it comes to these kinds of things, so I am hoping I can figure out how to do my own blog by April 7th

  4. I have so thoroughly enjoyed blogging each week during this study. It has helped draw me closer to God by writing what is truly on my heart. Typically, I choose to write about one of the different topics each week, but this week I chose to go with a different change of pace and write about all topics. I guess you could say I had something to say about all of them. Blogging really helps me put the lessons in perspective and has allowed me to learn some important things about myself during this study. This study was my first time to ever write a blog page, so I am thankful to God for allowing me to get out of my comfort zone and share more of my personal thoughts online with all of you amazing sisters in Christ. There was really only one week where I felt lost in my train of thought on what to write about since I felt the chapters dealt more with married women and women who had children. So, I chose to go with my creativity that week and wrote about my childhood days and how my mother was toward me and my sisters. I even threw in the story of how I played with my Ken and Barbie dolls for kicks. So, yes, God has taught me that I can show my creative side when I want to and He can allow me to share my insight with others. So, I will miss the blog posts during this study, but can rejoice in the fact that I will likely continue with my blog posting in the next study. Praise the Lord for everything! :)

  5. I enjoyed blog hop again this week! Great job ladies. Even if I did not get to comment on each one, I enjoyed taking time out of my day to gain some perspective from your posts. Keep it up ladies! God is working through all of you.
