Let.It.Go. Blog Hop Week Six

Y’all I can’t believe we’re already wrapping up this study and this is our last Blog Hop! It really has been a joy to read your posts and how this study is impacting your life. A huge thank you to the awesome OBS Facebook Leaders and other volunteers who made sure every single blog post shared was read! What you share is important and we want you to know that!

Without any further ado…we want to hear from you!

Topics for our LAST Let.It.Go. Blog Hop…

1. Lean on Him. I will say of the LORD, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! Psalm 91:2 AMP. How does this verse speak into your life right now?

2. Stunning or Lopsided. He is the Potter, we are the clay. Of all the chapters and areas of control in your life, which is the one you believe God is calling you to relinquish? Is there an area you feel you have already grown in? We would love to hear how your life is already making changes, bog or small!

3. With That Read. Now that you have finished Let.It.Go., what is the most unexpected thing you’ve learned? What would you share with the next person who picks up Karen’s book?

4. BONUS TOPIC. Did you have a post from a previous week you didn’t get to share? Now is your chance! Be sure to tell us in your post what chapter you are reflecting on so we know, then link it up!

I’ll go first this morning. YEA! I love blog hop day and I love to blog but lately it just hasn’t worked for me, but that’s ok because I love reading everyone else’s even better. Some time back I kinda skimmed over them, but now I literally spend hours soaking up all of them – every word. I try to comment on all of them, but don’t every week even though I do get them all read. Love the blog hop………….AND don’t you love how they added links to all the weeks here today. WOW! Thanks Heather and Melissa.

    • Jennifer N (OBS Leadership Team) says:

Love your sweet heart and reading your blog. Thank you so much for all the love and hard work you put into this every week. Love you girl!

  2. Yolande Garay says:

Well, Stunned & Lopsided. Interesting how the Lord always works in my life.
Today, I thought of all the things that would inspire my oldest to finish strong in the last month of university and maybe write her a letter but what I got instead was the Lord letting me know that the inspiration I was getting was for me and that He is also doing it for my oldest daughter…Let.It.Go. Halleluhia! Praise the Lord. He asked me to pray and therefore I will pray, leaving the outcome to Him.
Be blessed today and a blessing!

  3. I think what I learned mostly was I need to look to God more. In everything that He lays before me. I also have learned when I do give something up or hand over I can not go behind and change it just because I think it will look better or whatever the reason. I have a hard time remembering that my little people don’t get “it” like I do and I need to extend grace while teaching them. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this study when we first started, but I really felt God tugging on my heart. I may not always be able to sit down at this time with little ones running around, but I did buy a Bible on DVD and we listen to it as we clean. play, and eat. So I am still saturating myself in the Word. I thank you for all the people who lead this study. May you all be blessed the way I was during this study. Have an awesome, great day.

  4. Wow!! I can hardly believe it’s the last blog hop for Let.It.Go.!!!!! Where did the time go? This OBS has been another great experience for me & my group (Group 19) has been an awesome blessing!!! The books we study here are so down to earth and really hit home in a perfect way!
I can’t wait to read this last week’s thoughts on Let.It.Go…I’m hoping this will still be up next week? I won’t have time today…a trip to the zoo!!! (Yay!) And tomorrow,we leave out for Texas to see my little brother get married!! I won’t be able to read until next week sometime…I look forward to catching up and reading everyone’s thoughts when I get slowed back down!
Thanks, Melissa and all involved, for taking the time to put together these studies for us! Study by study…we become more and more empowered in the Word of God!!!!!!!!!!
    Until next time….
    God Bless!!!!! :)

I have loved this book. This was one of my take aways from this study in our daily lesson: “When we shift our thinking from why me to what can I learn from this, we gain an automatic release and freedom from control!  Praise God!  This is powerful.  It seems so silly that all it takes is just a little change in our perspective, however when we change our mindset, “Life becomes not about self, but all about the Savior.” page 54″
I also loved the Elisabeth Eliot quote: “The difference is Christ in me, not me in a different set of circumstances.” That’s huge and oh so true.
Thank all of you and your willingness to minister to us ladies…Jesus is so very good!!!

    • Jennifer N (OBS Leadership Team) says:

Amen!! I agree with you. Boy, am I being tested with control issues. So thankful for this study and especially the Scripture digging we have been doing! Bless you!

  6. Tristine says:

What an awesome study! I don’t have a blog (well, I do, but am constructing it. I hand wrote answers to yesterday’s assignment. I hope to have them posted tonight. :) I also thank all of you for your service in this wonderfully operated Ministry. God really is reigning blessings down. I hope to be able to get caught up reading the other comments and blogs.

God’s Holy Spirit is all over this Ministry, this study. I can feel it. God has moved me in many ways, both positive and some not so fun to look at. Will share later. BTW, Kristy in FB#28 is Phenomenal. If she does all she did without a co-leader I am very impressed. She went above and beyond, in my book. Karen, thank YOU for sharing your heart and life with us. Thank you for this incredible book and study. I can’t wait to hear more about you.

Melissa and those running OBS, I just love you all and am so thankful for your existence. I cannot wait for the next study, and thanks for the in-between!

    Love in Christ,
