SLL Week 1, Day 4~ Stressed-Less Living Blog Hop!

Welcome to our first Stressed-Less Living Blog Hop! I like to keep my portion short so because we want to hear from YOU!

First time ever doing a Blog Hop or need a refresher?? Pop open The Skinny on Blog Hopping for everything you need to know about our Blog Hops! This video will walk you through posting the correct link:

Here are this week’s topics: {The names in BOLD are suggested titles.}

1.  The Great I Am. “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 NLT

We have one power packed verse this week! Meditate on this verse for two-three days…how does your heart respond to His message to you? You could even do some “verse mapping” to really digest this verse.

2.  Stressed-Less. What is your goal for this study? What do you hope to learn or how do you hope to grow through this experience? Out of all the studies you could be doing right now…why did you choose this one?

3.  Real Problem. Chapter One. Out of the seven sections in Chapter One, which one hit home for you the most? What is it about that section that made you sit up and pay attention?

4. #Blessed. Stress can cause us to overlook the many blessings God has poured out into our lives. Make a list of five things God has blessed you with. Once you have listed five, try for five more…then five more…then five more. You can add to this list whenever you have something new to add. I.E. I am thankful for the dirty laundry because my family is well clothed. OR I am thankful for the beautiful weather we had today. OR Thank You Lord for my family.

Next week’s topics will be in Sunday’s blog post.

Yours in Christ,

Heather Bleier, OBS Executive Team

  1. I took your statements starting on page 24 and put “I am” and made them present tense. I plan to read them often so that they will sink in and I can learn to apply them to my thoughts and actions. I can’t do these things with out God. I know. I’ve tried. I look forward to learning more about how to Let go and Let God. I do have health problems that I can attribute directly to stress and how I handle my problems. I want to be free of these and the other bad stressors or at least be able to learn how God wants me to handle them.

  2. I just wanted to share, last week I was feeling really sad about not seeing my son for over 2 months, he is a freshman in college, the college is about 4 hours away. Out of the blue he texts me and tells me he is coming to a town about an hour and a half away from us with some friends to audition for a movie being cast. I told him we would love to meet them and take them to lunch! Just mention food and college kids jump on board! We made our plans to meet up. I was getting ready Sunday morning to make the trip, and heard in my mind, that is how much your Father loves you, He knew you were in need of seeing your son, He made an opportunity to give you what you so needed. I turned to my husband and told him with a big ole smile on my face and my heart full of love for my Father in Heaven!!! We met at a gas station, I could never put into words stepping out of that car and seeing my son jump out of his friends car and run across that parking lot to give me the biggest hug!!!
