SLL Week 4, Day 4 ~ Stressed-Less Living Blog Hop!

Y’all, thank you so much for sharing your blogs with us each week! We can’t wait to read what you have for us today!

First time hopping? CLICK HERE for important instructions and guidelines.

This week’s topics:

1.  Transformed. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 NIV

Haven’t taken the “verse mapping” plunge? Dig into this verse for three days and share with us how your heart responds to His message to you.

2. Power Surge. We’ve all experienced a power surge, one that brings our appliances into overload, popping circuit breakers, and blowing fuses. Well experiencing God’s presence is a whole other kind of power surge! Share a time when you have felt God’s presence in a profound way, or hear His voice speak directly to your heart.

3. Big Dream, Wee Step. Chapter 4. Is God calling you to make a change? Has He put a dream in your heart that seems just impossible to achieve? What is one little step you can take toward that dream. If you’re not sure, then start by sharing a prayer, asking God to keep your eyes and heart open to His leading.

4.  #Legacy. Ok, we’re doing our #Blessed post a wee bit differently this week in honor of the Proverbs 31 Ministry’s Legacy Campaign! Is there a woman who has impacted your faith and influenced your life with God’s love? Perhaps a friend, sister, mother, grandmother, mentor or pastor’s wife? Check out the link above and share a post lifting up a woman in your life.

Next week’s topics:

1.  Never Alone. The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” ~Exodus 33:14 NIV. Verse map our reflection verse for three days and share with us how your heart responds to His Word.

2. Plugged In. What is one way you plug into God? We know you are doing this Online Bible Study, but is there a daily devotion series or other devotional material you enjoy?

3.  Taking it Back. Chapter 5 was packed! If you walk away from this chapter remembering only one thing…what would it be?

4.  #Blessed. Add to your #Blessed entry or start one today!

  3. These blog hops are a bright spot in my day. Every. Single. Time. I can’t wait to read through them when I get home from my in real life Bible study later on this afternoon!

  4. Tracie says:

I have fallen behind because of graduating this week at 49. I so need this and will catch up but love to pop in and read encouraging words!!!

Thank you sisters in the Lord, Bless you all!!!! I really need this! Just glancing at next week’s verse ….. WOW, rest….

    • Congratulations, Tracie!

Rest sounds so good after the last several months…

  5. Melissa D says:

I think just knowing that I need to let go of the control of things has helped me from the beginning. Excited to see how much more the Lord will teach me through this study!

  6. I love these Blog Hops! So much encouraging information from inspiring women!

  7. I’m so encouraged on Blog Hop Thursday. With our changing weather brings much pain and the blogs are very encouraging to keep going and God’s see where He is leading through the pain. My true blessing this week is every woman encouraging each other.

  8. Michele says:

I wanted to share here a plug in. I’ve been reading Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, It so relates to this study, It talks of finding peace in God’s Presence and it’s written as if Jesus is speaking directly to you! Love it!
    Blessings

    • Michele, I have read this book. I can read it again and again. You are right. He is speaking directly to us. Fantastic book.

    • Roseanne says:

Absolute, wonderful book! It helped me to get through tough times by drawing/leading me closer to God.

  9. I completed Chapter 4. I felt like I was reading my past life. However I never felt God giving me direction of where he wants me in this life. I keep on praying. I am trying not to do it my way but his way. I hear nothing.
Please I ask you to keep me in prayer so I can do this will.

  10. I am loving participating in these blog hops both by writing my own blog entry and by reading others. It is fun every week to find someone different to read. The insights and openness are amazing. I am thoroughly blessed by participating in this online Bible study.

  11. I am blown away by some of these writings. We have some awesome writers – thank you for sharing your blogs!

  12. I, too, love reading the blogs. Good work, everyone!

  13. I need to make time to read these blogs! I never have blogged. Maybe this summer I will try it. But I am #Blessed. A rewarding job (though stressful at times), a wonderful hard working husband (though stresses me out at times but he cleans & irons so I love him anyway!), a great support system of Christian friends, a church that fits just right … and coffee, a cup of coffee & a good book. Life. is. good. :-)

    • coffee & coffee? Maybe too much coffee! ;-). I meant “a cup of coffee, a blanket, and a good book”… Sorry this teacher is in End-of-the-Year-May-Survival mode!

  14. Sorry, but I don’t have a blog set up, but would like to comment about when I’ve felt God moving in my life. Well it’s now, more than ever. Through this study, I’ve been more focused on hearing from God and saying “yes”. I’m getting up in front of my whole church to give talk about a new ministry that God is calling me to do. It is so beyound me to get up in front of a crowd, but God has promised he will give me the words to say. Today He gave me a little practice. He allowed me to lead prayer with a group of women that I work with. I even got a note from one of the women that said my prayer was awesome! I give all the glory to God, but an amazed at what He is doing in my life right now.

  15. Great verses and topics this week! been thinking and writing, but it´s so late, my blog post is so simple. God´s Word is so incredible! .

  16. Lori K (OBS Group Leader) says:

Enjoying the Blog Hop. We have gifted writers in this group. :-)

  17. Thank you to each of you who share your struggles, triumphs, legacies, blessings and so much more. You speak God’s words into my heart.

    Keep it up!

  18. Nancy Dye says:

I want to thank Jamy Whitaker for e-mailing me today to offer prayer for my breast cancer diagnosis. I felt God nudging me to this Bible Study before I knew I had cancer (I found out this past Monday — 4 days ago!). It was found early but I am opting for a double mastectomy. I don’t want to ever go through this again & its the only way I can try to meet this objective from a medical perspective. So why is this Bible Study so significant, especially now? I’ve never known the “peace of Christ” and I so desperately want it Comfort food, one glass of wine (seriously), a hot bath, all may soothe me in their temporarily. The book and Bible Study is teaching me to learn to lean on God in stressful times and is needed by me now more than ever. Thanks to Melissa Taylor and the entire Proverbs 31 Team!!

    • Praying for you Nancy during this time. Matthew 11:28 – Come to me all who are weary, and I will give you rest” -:)

  19. Vanessa says:

I have been missing in action. I got started on this study and then all of a sudden I got stopped in my tracks. By circumstances? No but by my emotions. I had to lay everything down even all the Christian voices from all the studies I was in to hear God’s voice. He spoke to me clearly that He and only He wanted to make something clear to me before continuing with this study. Ladies God gave me clear direction in what to speak on at a mother’s day banquet and He wanted it to be His direction. It is amazing how even though all things are great that are led by God that sometimes it has to be us and Him only. So I’m back and I read through chapter 4 and I’m excited because God is already showing great and mighty things through this study. He is showing me how to not conform to the ways I see some of my co workers working and to stay in close connection with Him and follow Him only in this. Thank you ladies for this amazing truth to not conform but be transformed so our minds can be renewed in Him!!!! Love
    You!
    Vanessa

  20. Chantale says:

    Hello everyone,

I am enjoying reading your blogs, so much insight and encouragement.

Finally, I took the plunge, got out of my comfort zone and posted a blog of my own.

Although it was time consuming, it was worth it because it gave me an opportunity to check in with God and look back at what he has revealed to me. He is so faithful.

Not sure where this will lead longer term but for the time being I am choosing to commit to posting one blog per week for the duration of this wonderful study.

May God bless each and everyone of you today and all days.
    Chantale

  21. I am going to take this challenge since I feel so empty and I do not feel God answers or guidance. thank you again for this wonderful study.
