  1. I surrender trying to defend myself. Jesus is my Defender. Please pray for Jesus to defend me, as the battle for my life and for my children is His. Pray that He would give courage to family members to stand up for the truth. That darkness would be defeated! That deception would be exposed. That there woulx be beauty for ashes, comfort for mourning, release from darkness for captives, healing for the brokenhearted. (see Isaiah 61). I’m trusting and waiting on Jesus for His miracle of reconciliation, turning my life situation around for good. To God be the glory!

    • Melissa OBS Group Leader says:

Just know the darkness is defeated in the name of Jesus! You cling to that sister! I don’t think that I read this post accidentally this morning. I have been praying Isaiah 61 for almost 11 weeks! Remember we are more than conquerers through Jesus! That same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us, and gives us DIVINE power to demolish anything that sets itself up against the knowledge of God!

      God bless you

  2. I created a blog! All these great posts each week inspired me so I will be ready for the next study. The last chapter encouraged us on stepping out in faith (not exact words) but like Tracie I knew there was more, I had a tugging on my heart but really, I’ve just been going through the motions. I lead a small women’s group at church but I see the need for so much more. Our church is small & there is not a women’s ministry. I emailed my preacher- I was very nervous & scared, embarrassed even. I know it was just the devil trying to get me to back down. After a week (a long wait and I got more nervous & afraid of rejection in the wait), my preacher wants me to set up some goals. Oh my! I may have already “said yes”!!! Prayers please… And any ideas or suggestions… Happy Blog Hop Day! Looking forward to reading these great posts.

    • Kara (OBS FB leader) says:

congratulations on taking this step. when I write my blog I usually pray about it for a few days and usually the Holy Spirit guides me with something to write.good luck and have fun. cannot wait to read it.

    • Melissa OBS Group Leader says:

As I just sat here reading this comment it gave me some confirmation. I have been praying about sending a e-mail to someone this morning about a mentorship! Thank you! Now I have to go send that e-mail! :)

God bless you and congrats on the blog! I can’t wait to read it!

      • I’m glad you received some confirmation and clarity. Send the email, stepping out, totally trusting God = faith + courage + risk = Big plans! Good luck :-)

        • Melissa OBS Group Leader says:

Thank you and e-mail sent! :)

          • Woo hoo!!!

          • Melissa, my email is mrsmontjoy@yahoo.com
Another lady & I connected on here last week and she too was praying and toying with the idea of emailing her preacher! We emailed each other & prayed for each other. Both of us emailed & both got a response! We are going to keep in touch as we both start this new adventure! Feel free to email me if you’d like!

  3. Linda G says:

Chapter 11 may have been short but it was powerful. Thank you for this bible study. I have signed up for the next one!

  4. Sherri J says:

I have so enjoyed this study and this chapter…I so try to control my own destiny more than letting God lead me and the stress can be overwhelming. I love the term in here “reset button”…sometimes we just need to start over .

  5. Romans 8:26 used to confuse me as I didn’t understand what was meant by the spirit praying for me with silent groans. Now I’m thinking it has to do with those times when I am SO tressed out and frazzled that I can’t tell up from down. Even though I always pray during these situations, they are mostly fear based and focus on getting me through something qucikly amdainlessly. God has a much larger perspective though as we know and his prayers for me therefore will be different, probably more along the lines of giving me what I need as opposed to what my worldly mind wants and being able to understand and accept the difference. The groans probably come from my continual, “yes God but…” responses to Him in trying to do things my way.;)

    • Stephanie Raquel says:

Great insights, Tricia! Yes, agreed, it is easy to pray fear-based prayers, but faith-based prayers can take us to heights we never imagined. Glad to be part of your journey of discovery!! =)

  6. Katrina says:

My computer crashed Monday night! While I did go old school and write out a post, I’m hoping I get to share that soon when I get my computer back from the tech. Praying they are able to repair it like new with out losing any of our info. And in the meantime, I get to sit here drinking my cup of coffee this morning, enjoying the hop from my phone. Can’t wait to see what you all had to share with us!

    • Stephanie Raquel says:

You can post it anytime between now and next Wed. night! Can’t wait to see what insights the Lord is giving you in the meantime! =)

  7. Lynn Fincher says:

I do find the more faithful I am to my prayer life my difficult moments ease out and don’t annoy me .God is my strength and giving my problems to Him makes a huge difference . I have to stop at times and finally give it to him.
Blessings to all the women who are taking this study..:)

  8. Carolyn says:

I am so grateful that God understands that there are times when I don’t know what to pray for, but I need Him dearly – and He intercedes.
Lord, break these bonds of worry, break these bonds of doubt. Intercede on my behalf, Lord, and help me to see Your solution to these overwhelming problems. In Jesus name, Amen.

  9. I have always wanted to create a blog spot to house my writings but I feel that no one will read them. I have written several of my writings on facebook and get no response. Maybe I am jumping ahead of God’s time or maybe the devil is getting into my head. Praying about that one.

    • Hi Katy, I know exactly what you mean as I have the same urge to express myself in a book or blog and used to think it would be pointless if nobody reads it. I prayed about it and realized that the writing is more for myself to clarify what God has been working in me and perhaps help others.I havent started yet but i plan to with the motivation coming to please God and not on how many hits I get. If God is directing you in this, just do it and see what happens,. :)

  10. Barbara Prince says:

Hi my sisters in Christ! This week we have talked some about the importance of the Scripture in Romans 8:26 “likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words”. I love this verse. What freedom it brings to my life, to my prayer life. I don’t have to worry about using the right words or saying the right thing, because I have a Helper, the Holy Spirit of God! Now, that is a true blessing!!

  11. I have loved participating in the blog hops during this study…it has kept me focused on the study at hand and helped me to apply it to every day life. Thank you so much for this ministry!

  12. Hello Ladies!!!
I am very thankful for all of you. “the spirit will help in our weakness” I know that God will provide for my family and I hold on to that daily. :-)

  13. Once again, so many great posts! I cannot wait to read through more of them this weekend.
